Today I saw the new trailer for Cinderella, and I absolutely loved this quote from her mother. ^
Disney is a goldmine for life mottos.
As a child, there was nothing I loved more than to sit two feet away from the TV and watch fairytales. And as I age, I still dream of castles and love at first sight and big dresses with long trains.
You really can't outgrow magic.
Here at college, it is easy to lose sight of what actually matters. Things like grades, relationships, and extracurriculars suddenly have more weight than they ever did before, and you suddenly feel a pressure to excel in everything.
Boy, do I have a secret.
You can't be perfect at everything.
There will always be someone smarter, luckier, or more talented than you, but when you feel like you just aren't enough, remember that the only thing that matters is that you have courage & are kind. Literally nothing else will have a more positive impact in your life than to make helping others a priority, and success is known to be 10% talent and 90% hard work.
Once you give your all, that is when the magic kicks in.
